Complete the form below if you need a letter from us to confirm a power outage at your premises for your insurance provider.
Please note: Your home and contents insurance policy may cover electrical-related damage (which can include storm events) to your property or appliances. In this case, you should direct your claim to your insurance company in the first instance.
The ESHA grant helps people who have lost one or more essential services (i.e. electricity, gas, water, or sewerage) at their home for more than 5 consecutive days due to a disaster.
No, you do not need to complete an Insurance Letter Request for outage data in support of your application for an ESHA grant. We have already provided and will continue to provide relevant customer outage data to the Department of Communities to assist with their administration of ESHA relief payments.
Please apply directly with the Department of Communities, see https://www.qld.gov.au/community/disasters-emergencies/disasters/money-finance/types-grants/essential-serv-hardship-assist for eligibility criteria.
