The PowerSavvy program is helping customers on Thursday Island, Horn Island and in the Northern Peninsula Area (NPA) save power and money.
The program has been developed based on feedback from the communities involved and is funded by the Queensland Government as part of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan.
PowerSavvy is putting the power in customers’ hands through:
- a White Goods Rebate for customers upgrading to a 4-star or higher energy-rated appliance
- Home Energy Health Checks to help families save energy and money
- the rollout of smart meters across Thursday Island, Horn Island and businesses in the NPA
- access to My Account and Energy Analysis so customers can easily check their energy use
- an educational program for primary and high school students to educate our next generation
- business energy assessments to help local businesses improve energy efficiency and save on their bills.
